Don't play to him brother

Image
Real Madrid continued their poor European form when they encountered Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany. It ended in a draw but Karim Benzema made more headlines in his dressing room rants more than the match lighted up the stadium. The ex Lyon man was seen on camera advising Ferland Mendy not to pass the ball to another team mate, Vinicius jr. The Germans found them self on the way to a very famous win when Marcus Thuram netted a brace, but it was cancelled out in the 87th minutes through a Benzema volley which was followed up by a Casimiro's latch on Sergio Ramos header. These efforts saw them scale through and avoiding a defeat which would have brought closer their exit from the competition. A video footage making rounds captured Benzema's voice saying, brother don't play to him, on my mother's life, he's playing against us!" In the midst of the condemnation his statement received, he appeared unrepentant and even made a post saying, "the Dogs bark but...

" He's very clever, he plays with what he has and he gave us a very difficult match. So congratulations to him and his boys. "My players didn't play the quality football that we want but because of Burnley, not because of us. So I think we did a positive game."

Pogba debunks resignation rumour

Image
Paul Pogba has debunked rumour making rounds that he has resigned from the French national team in reaction to the statement made by the French president Emmanuel Macron as "unacceptable fake news."  The news from the middle East was reported by 195.sports.com. Macron condemned the attack on Samuel Paty, 47, a teacher who was stabbed and beheaded on his way home from his high school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, around 40 kilometres north west of Paris. The French president described the incident as an "Islamic terrorist attack". He also added: "Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism." There's no suggestion Pogba supports the terrorists' actions, but he allegedly resents Macron's description of it as an "Islamic" terror attack. Paty, it has been claimed, was targeted for showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his students. He was posthumously awarded French Legion d'honneur for trying ...

Leeds silence critiques at last

Image
After a convincing win against Aston Villa with Patrick Bamford scoring his first premier league hart-trick, the Marcelo Bielsa led Leeds United end Aston Villa's hope of making history by winning their first five league games, something that would have been a first in the history of the club. But that was not to be. Patrick Bamford (middle) Leeds also made Gabriel Agbonlagho to eat his words after criticizing them when they lost to Wolves a few days ago. According to Bamford,"Someone was saying Bielsa was a myth but we showed everyone that Leeds are here to compete." Bielsa on his part believes that if Bamford continues the way he plays, he would receive more plaundits and equally stated that Pascal Struijk was withdrawn in just 21 minutes into the game because of fear that he might get a second yellow card. The Aston Villa Coach, Dean Smith regretted not making the much anticipated history but believes that they lost to a very good team.

Robertson: Outstanding down the left, created so much and always a threat. Henderson: Had more work to do...

Lampard on Zyach

Image
Hakim Ziyech has had a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge due to an injury he sustained in a preseason friendly against Brighton. The Morrocan winger who played a major role in the young Ajax team that thrilled football lovers in the 2018 champions league final stages has not had a rosy start to life in London and the Manager knows why. The Coach, Frank Lampard believes that the Covid-19 rules have made things even more difficult. He started that due to the Covid-19 rules, the U-23 team cannot be brought over to play in a big field along side members of the senior squad who are returning from injury so as to ascertain their fitness level and as well help them hit top form faster. But he believes that Zyach will do just fine judging by the hunger in him to play. The ex Ajax man has played only three times competitively since joining the London side.

Wolves have placed a fee of £90million on him and hopes one of the suitors will be able to pay that. Liverpool initially withdrew from the quest to land the Spanish winger but it looks like they are having a rethink. Chelsea scraps names of two legends from the Stadium

Image
The Chelsea football club has decided to make some changes to the entrances of the Stamford bridge in preparation for the return of fans to the stadium. They decided to do this by removing the names of two football players that represented that club in the 80's, Nigel Spackman and David Speedie from the entrance of the stadium. It was initially put there by Ken Bates, the former owner.  The two legends it should be recalled fell out of favour with the fans at some point. Nigel Spaceman fell out with fans when he supported Liverpool in a Champions League game against Chelsea in 2008 while David Speedie fell out with the fans when was accused of making racist at an after dinner event in 2004.

Liverpool, Manchester United plot a new dimension for the English Premier League.

Image
Since the arrival of the Premier League in 1992, this will be the biggest transformation if it takes effect. This proposal driven my Manchester United and Liverpool is massive and will change the face of the English Premier League. For three years, the two clubs have been working on a huge proposal that will bring about a radical change in both the Premier League and the EFL. It will be the biggest overhaul ever witnessed. They are seeking for a reform that many see as power grabbing for the BIG Six. A situation in which the one club one vote rule will be abolished. A rule that has been in place in the English Premier League since it's inception in 1992. The requirement to get 14 votes for any decision or regulation to go through would also be abolished. This will now give ultimate power to the nine clubs that have been in the premier league the longest, Everton, Southampton and West Ham, including the Big Six. This new move would give the BIG SIX bloc such as Chelsea, Manchester C...
