Salah's Liverpool Narrowly Escape Burnley

Liverpool has ran away with a lone goal against Burnley to keep their title race alive. The very important goal scored by Fabinho who is the highest goal scorer in Liverpool this year with five goals in eight appearances reduced the gap between them and Manchester City to nine points with a game in hand against Leeds United. Fabinho scores a dying minute goal to give Liverpool the needed three points against Burnley. Despite the return of the fantastic duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the Anfield outfit were unable to dislodge Burnley who played a swift attacking style of football and came close many times to score a goal. It was not the best nights for the Reds as they were out played by Burnley at Turf Moor. Kurt Zouma in animal cruelty controversy Former Chelsea youngster Kurt Zouma was seen kicking, chasing and throwing shoes at a Cat. The video posted by The Sun Uk, shows video clips of the West Ham man hitting a Cat as he chased it around. This video attracted widespread condemnation from people and West Ham United was not left out. The club has come out with a statement disassociating itself from the defenders actions and stating clearly that they do not subscribe to animal cruelty in any form. They equally vowed to handle the incident internally. The statement read: “West Ham United unreservedly condemns the actions of our player, Kurt Zouma, in the video that has circulated. We have spoken to Kurt and will deal with the matter internally.   Christen Eriksen has joined Brentford almost seven months after surviving a health scare at Euro 2020. Christian Eriksen  He left Inter Milan on mutual consent due to the inability of the Serie A Champions to accommodate him because of some Serie A rules which goes against him playing with an implantable cardioverter-difibrillator. The Danish Captain collapsed on the field of play due to cardiac arrest during a football match against Finland in Copenhagen. His move to the recently promoted Brentford is still subject to international clearance, though pen has already been put to paper by both parties for a six months deal and a possible extension to June 2023. Harry Kane and Son Heung Min have combined to score a history making 13 goals this season which equals the record set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton.  The duo have been in sinctilating form for the London side since the coming of Jose Mourinho to Tottenham Hotspur.  This feat was achieved in the 3:0 win against Leeds United on Saturday with the English man providing the assist for his South Korean counterpart to score at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. "We have come of age where we understand the game and each other." He said. The English Captain has scored 17 goals and raked up 14 assists in 24 games so far this season, making it one of his most letal. His penalty against Leeds means that he has scored against all the 30 teams he has faced in the English Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur Stars breaks covid-19 rules

Tottenham hotspur Stars Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, Erik Lamela and West Ham's Manuel Lanzini have broken the UK tier four coronavirus protocol by spending Christmas together. The Stars were pictured in a post made by friends with 11 adults, two children and a baby. According to Government, people living  in tier four areas are supposed spend time only with their immediate family at Christmas. Across the country, up to three families were allowed to meet on Christmas.  The West Ham Star has already tendered an apology while the two clubs have made statements condeming the players attitude and pledged to discipline them internally.

Mourinho's agenda on Modric

After securing a rescue loan deal for Gareth Bale, coach Jose Mourinho has started another move to bring back Luka Modric to North London after a 30 million move a few years ago that raked in two league titles, five Champions League trophies and three club world cups. The Portuguese is reportedly in touch with the Croatian Captain over a potential move back to North London in 2021 following the expiration of his contract in June which allows him to speak to clubs from January 1st. The 35year old said he is happy in Madrid and hopes to end his career in the Spanish capital. He believes he still has the strength and some football left in his feet for some years to come. But has not ruled out anything yet. During his four-year spell at Tottenham, Modric played over 150 times for the north London club, scoring 17 goals but failed to lift a trophy during this time. He played 51 times for Mourinho's Real Madrid and scored four times during this period.
