Christian Eriksen Joins Brentford

  Christen Eriksen has joined Brentford almost seven months after surviving a health scare at Euro 2020. Christian Eriksen  He left Inter Milan on mutual consent due to the inability of the Serie A Champions to accommodate him because of some Serie A rules which goes against him playing with an implantable cardioverter-difibrillator. The Danish Captain collapsed on the field of play due to cardiac arrest during a football match against Finland in Copenhagen. His move to the recently promoted Brentford is still subject to international clearance, though pen has already been put to paper by both parties for a six months deal and a possible extension to June 2023. An excited Eriksen said, "I am happy to announce that I have signed for Brentford, I cant wait to get started and hopefully see you soon." After long delays in contract negotiation with Ousmane Dembele, Barcelona has asked him to leave but not without some backlash from La Liga's PFA. Ousmane Dembele and his Agent have been in contract negotiations for over six months with Barcelona with no head way. This infuriated the Nou Camp and led to a decision to let him go. Mo Salah and Edouard Mendy missing in FIFA BEST XI Individual awards in football remains one of the best ways of recognizing players who distinguished themselves each year. But it is not free from controversies. A historical look at referee errors in football

Every human being is prone to error, referees are not exempted. That is the story of Janny Sikazwe who pulled one of the worst refereeing performances in recent memory with his show in the match between Mali and Tunisia. But he is not alone. Janny Sikazwe of Zambia blows to end a match prematurely. He blew the final whistle in the 85th minute of the game but later restarted and then blew again to end the match in the 89th minutes and 43 seconds. This anomaly didn't go down well with the Tunisian bench with the Head Coach Mondhar Kebaier grabbing the referees arm to show him his watch.  The entire Tunisian bench then joined the head coach in protesting to the lines man about how the match was ended prematurely with their team on the losing end. Drama in Afcon as Defender turns to goalkeeper

Badra Ali Sangare dived awkwardly. It was drama yesterday in the on going African cup of nations as Ivorian defender Segie Aurier took up goal keeping duties after the goal keeper Badra Ali Sangare got injured following an error that gifted Sierra Leone an equalizer against the West African giants. Sangare dived to catch a soft ball that was approaching his goal post but miscalculated his landing which led to him dropping the ball unintentionally for Steve Caulker who recently switched nationality from England to Sierra Leone to graceful grab the ball and put it through for Alhaji Kamara to tap into an open net  in the 92nd minute of the match after surviving an initial slip. The likes of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane, Samuel Chukwueze and the rest were the names on the lips of football enthusiasts prior to the start of this African cup of nations going on in Cameroon, but goal keepers are gradually proving to be the Stars of the tournament. Salim Ben Boina. Comoros goal keeper Comoros versus Morocco was a walk-over for the North African side on paper, but that was not to be on the match day proper with the hero of the match coming from the less fancied side in the person of the goal keeper, Salim Ben Boina who pulled off an incredible triple saves to save the blushes of Comoros.  Though the Athlas Lions finally had their way through the goals of Aboukhlal Zacharia and Salim Amallah which ended the game 2:0 in favour of Morocco, the scoreline would have been worse had it not been for Salim's heroics in-between the sticks.
