Salah's Liverpool Narrowly Escape Burnley
Liverpool has ran away with a lone goal against Burnley to keep their title race alive. The very important goal scored by Fabinho who is the highest goal scorer in Liverpool this year with five goals in eight appearances reduced the gap between them and Manchester City to nine points with a game in hand against Leeds United.

Despite the return of the fantastic duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the Anfield outfit were unable to dislodge Burnley who played a swift attacking style of football and came close many times to score a goal.
It was not the best nights for the Reds as they were out played by Burnley at Turf Moor. But for Fabinho’s late goal, it would have been a disastrous outing for the former champions who are doing all they could to bring glory back to Anfield this season.
Fabinho who has been on a blistering form this year has scored more goals (5) in his last eight appearances for Liverpool than he has in his previous 142 appearances since joining the Reds. His return to form will be interesting to see how it propels Liverpool in the title race this season against a high flying Manchester City. As for Burnley, it is a different story all together. They have gone down to the bottom of the table following the loss to Liverpool with seven points from safety.

The Turf Moore side must be regretting a beautiful opportunity lost against Liverpool especially with their main man Weghorst leaving the pitch in the 75th minute with a knee injury. Nothing good at all for them but for Liverpool, it’s another narrow escape. The race continues.
