Frank Lampard's Everton revolution kicks off in style

New Everton Manager

Everton made some serious statements during the just concluded January transfer window. The signing of iconic Frank Lampard as their new manager after a disastrous union with Rafa Benitez was a statement of intent.

Though the Chelsea legend is yet to proof his worth as a Manager following his failed stint at Chelsea, but he could come good at the other side of Blue.

He moved straight to sign out of form Dele Alli from Tottenham and the struggling Donny Van De Beek from Manchester United. These are all men with a point to prove. These are players who at some point in their careers were the best in their position but a sudden deep in form or circumstance has reduced their potency. It is now time to prove critics wrong and rediscover that bite that brought them this far.

Donny Van De Beek

Van de Beek has a big reputation in his home country the Netherlands following his massive exploits at Ajax which eventually saw him making the step up to the premier league to a huge club in the shape of Manchester United. He would not want this adventure to England to be what leads him into oblivion and definitely has his eyes on the world cup which would be coming up later this year in Qatar as well as a point to prove to Manchester United on reasons why he should not be benched.

Dele Alli

Dele Alli was known for his great talent but has been on the downward movement over the past few seasons and he is just 25. It could be that he was not given enough playing time to rediscover his old form or probably the atmosphere at Tottenham wasnt favourable to him and eventually affected his form. Be that as it may, he has got a chance at redemption with this move to Everton under the watch of a prolific midfielder in the person of Lampard. This is definitely his time to show that he still got that thing which took him up there. A move out of London to the North West could also do him good and help him concentrate on his game.

Everton's deadline day deals were symbolic because it enabled them assemble men who have one or two things to prove. How it goes from here remains to be seen.
