How Alex Ferguson players have done as managers.

Legendary figures remain so till the end of time and their dance steps on the stage of life can never be washed away by the ocean of time because of its deep rooted impact on the future. 

That is the story of Alex Ferguson's managerial career.

Let's take a look at the players he managed and how they are doing as managers.

1. Steve Bruce:


This Manchester United legend has managed to lift Birmingham City and Hull City from the Championship to the premier league in his young managerial career and is currently doing a good job as Newcastle United's manager.

He has to his credit, 414 appearances in Manchester United shirt from 1987 to 1996, winning nine major trophies.

2. Paul Ince:


has been in management at the lower level with Macclesfield, Blackburn Rovers and a title stint at MK Dons. But has stayed away from high level management since after leaving Blackpool in 2014.

He has 281 appearances for Manchester United to his credit from 1989 to 1995.

3. Mark Hughes:


The former Manchester United Manager was the man who set up Manchester City on the part of glory with some intelligent signings.

The former striker has had spells with Wales, Blackburn, Manchester City and Fulham with differing levels of success, and has been out of the job since leaving Southampton in December of 2018.

He made 352 appearances for Manchester United and scored 166 goals for the Old Trafford side from 1980 to 1986, before moving to Chelsea.

4. Laurent Blank:


The ex french manager led the les blues to the semi finals of Euro 2012 after a double winning spell at Bordeaux. 

He has been out of job since leaving Paris Saint-Germain in a trophy laden period between 2013 to 2016. 

He played two seasons for Manchester United.

5. Roy Keane:


The Irishman has struggled to stamp his authority in management and has not quit got the spark flying.

He won promotion with Sunderland back in 2007, but was left go two years later before a difficult spell with Ipswich. Assistant jobs have followed with Ireland, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

6. Ole Gunner Solskjaer:


An ex United legend, a super sub in his time at Old Trafford. 

Venturing into management came with it's challenges,the Norwegian had a fine first spell at Molde but didn’t do as well on his return after being sacked by Cardiff. He currently is in charge at Manchester United and is in a shaky situation due to poor performances at the club.

7. Phil Neville:


The younger Neville was drafted in to coach the female national team, he did very well especially at the 2019 FIFA female world cup where he led the team to a fourth position but Sarina Wiegman has been contacted to take over by 2021 as things are not going well with the team.
