Why the two giants fought

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku, the two giants in Milan have been harboring grudges for each other since their days in Old Trafford.
Finding themselves in the opposite sides of Milan couldn't help but ensure that the incubating animosity comes out to public glare.
It was in an interview that Zlatan Ibrahimovic stated that he offered a bet to Lukaku that if he makes a good first touch in training, he would give him £50 but he never took the bet because he was afraid.

Lukaku never made negative remarks against the 39 year old but hurt his ego when in 2020, Inter Milan won in the derby with the Belgian following it up on social media that "there's a new king in town."

This didn't go down well with the Swede who returned in another derby in October 2020 to score twice in a match in which Inter found the back of the net just once, thereby losing to the other side of Milan.

This win reinvigorated the ex Paris Saint Germain striker's ego and he replied his rival on social media that "Milan never had a King, they have a God."

This year, the crisis escalated and almost resulted to punches being thrown if not for the intervention of players and staff of both clubs.

The Swede came for war, all through the game, he was looking for opportunities to talk to the Belgian, during corners, throwing, until he got fed up and exploded after being asked to "go and do his voodoo" by Zlatan. He returned the jibe by telling him, "f*** you and your wife, you little b****' and 'you want to speak about my mother!?"

Now it has become obvious why they never scored whenever they played together during their days in Manchester United.

The next Derby della Madonnina comes up on February 21, hopefully we shall see more explosions.
