Ronaldo,Messi rivalry pitches two clubs on war path
The rivalry between the two greatest Footballers of all time was triggered again on Tuesday when Juventus travelled to Barcelona for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League in which the Italian club came out victorious.
The previous encounter went the way of the Catalan giants with captain Lionel Messi putting up a sinctilating show in Turin which left the entire Juventus team looking like pre school pupils.
Unfortunately, Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to make the starting line up due to the coronavirus which he contacted a few days to the game.
After a stellar performance by the Barcelona Captain and his teammates, the club made a short remark on their twitter handle targeted at the Italian side, mocking them for the loss. The tweet read, "we are glad you were able to see the GOAT on your pitch @juventusfcen.
Then Juventus replied by saying: "you probably looked it up in the wrong dictionary. We will bring you the right one at Camp Nou."
A few minutes after the second leg encounter, the Italian side didn't forget, they twitted: "we kept our word, we brought it.
Juventus now tops the group ahead of Barcelona which gives them a relatively easy encounter in the round of sixteen.
The rivalry has since been debuncked as none existent by Cristiano Ronaldo who insisted that there's no rivalry between him and Messi, that the rivalry is a creation of the media.
