Chelsea demolish Sheffield United
After a busy activity in the transfer market this season, it was expected that Chelsea will come into the new season spitting fire. The expections where genuine because of the calibre of players signed. But that was not to be as the new signings struggled to find their foot. The presure was on the young manager who many believed got the job because of his celebrity status rather than merit. But as it stands, judging by the improved performances of recent, it is becoming clear that the West London side are beginning to benefit from the investment made. The most testament to that is the match between Chelsea and Sheffield United in which Ben Chilwell and Timo Werner followed up Abraham's 25th minutes strike with a goal each and double assist from the phenomenal Hakim Ziyech with the goal keeper Mendy stepping in to end the goal keeping problems the blues faced.Having demolished the energized Sheffield United team 4:1 and killing the match off with a Thiago Silva first goal for Chelsea since joining, then one thing is for sure, the Frank Lampard new signings are finally ready for business.
