Chelsea, Liverpool in easy group as Man United face difficulty

The UEFA Champions League draw on Thursday has been described as exciting while some have alleged that some teams were favoured over the others.

Manchester United have been said to be among  the unlucky teams, having been paired with RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain while Chelsea and Manchester City were the lucky ones, having been paired with considerably lesser opponents like Ajax, Atalanta and minnows FC Midtjylland for Liverpool while City squares it off with Porto, Olympiacos and Marseille.

It is not the easiest of groups but judging by the rating of the two English sides, it is believed that it is an easy obstacle for them to surmount.

Chelsea on their part was placed in a tricky group comprising Sevilla, FC Krasnodar of Russia and Rennes. 

UEFA will on Friday release fixture schedule for group stage matches.

  Christen Eriksen has joined Brentford almost seven months after surviving a health scare at Euro 2020. Christian Eriksen  He left Inter Milan on mutual consent due to the inability of the Serie A Champions to accommodate him because of some Serie A rules which goes against him playing with an implantable cardioverter-difibrillator. The Danish Captain collapsed on the field of play due to cardiac arrest during a football match against Finland in Copenhagen. His move to the recently promoted Brentford is still subject to international clearance, though pen has already been put to paper by both parties for a six months deal and a possible extension to June 2023.
