Pirlo hints at resting Ronaldo

Andrea Pirlo kicked off his coaching career on a winning note. Juventus won Sampdoria 3:0 in Pirlo's first competitive match as a Coach.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal and showed no sign of slowing down. But the Italian has other plans for the Portuguese legend. He insists that the ex Manchester United Star will be given some rest this season especially in less important matches. This is to ensure that the five time balon dor winner keeps performing at optimum level till the end of the season. He noted that the 36 year old is not getting any younger and so have to be taken care of.

The ex Madrid man is not one to slow down, but the Italian legend explained that Ronaldo will be the one to decide when he feels he needs rest .In his words: "He's a very intelligent lad who knows his body very well, so he is aware of when it's time to rest or step it up. When he will play depends on him."


It will be interesting to see how the Portuguese machine reacts to the idea and how effective it would be in keeping him in shape.

Pirlo would be in the driving seat as the Turin outfit contest for the 10th Seria A title this season and try to get hold of the elusive Champions League.

Salah Vows Revenge on Senegal

Captain of the Egyptian national team, Mohammed Salah has sent a defiant message to his team mates in the dressing room after their loss to Senegal on Sunday. The match ended in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw at the regulation time with the West African side carting away the coveted trophy.
